As of 27 May 2023 the Reservoir is closed to ALL angling whilst work on the retaining walls is on-going.

The famous Worsbrough Reservoir has been a breeding ground to some of England’s best ever anglers and is home to the formidable Barnsley Blacks Angling Team. With a continuous stock of Carp and healthy stocks of many other species, you can enjoy the full spectrum of fishing on offer.

Off the A61 (SheffieldRoad) opposite the Red Lion Country Inn (see map above). It’s a Pay as you go car park with free parking for disabled.

ALL nets to be dried for a minimum of 30 minutes.  No keep nets to be used except for recognised matches.
